3. SMS and Voice Communications
Certain TECNOTO products send automated SMS messages and/or initiate voice communications on behalf of our customers. The following terms apply:
3.1 Consent and Opt-In
We obtain consent before sending automated SMS messages to any individual. For platforms like TradesQueue, recipients (e.g., subcontractors) receive a one-time opt-in request before any scheduling messages are sent. Only after the recipient affirmatively replies YES are they enrolled to receive messages.
3.2 Message Frequency and Content
Message frequency varies based on the service and user activity. Messages may include scheduling requests, appointment confirmations, status updates, and operational notifications. Message and data rates may apply.
3.3 Opt-Out
Recipients of automated SMS messages may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Upon receipt of a STOP request, we immediately cease all automated messaging to that number. Reply HELP for assistance.
3.4 No Sharing of Mobile Information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time. Phone numbers and SMS data are used exclusively for the operational purposes described in this policy.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: We use third-party vendors to operate our services (Twilio for SMS/voice, Stripe for payments, Supabase for data infrastructure, Vercel for hosting, Resend for email). These providers access data only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect it.
- At your direction: When you use our platform to send messages to your contacts (e.g., a builder sending scheduling requests to their subcontractors), you direct us to transmit information to those recipients.
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, court order, or governmental regulation, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will provide notice before information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Data Retention
- Active accounts: We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide services.
- Canceled accounts: Upon cancellation, account data is retained for 30 days to allow reactivation, then permanently deleted. SMS logs and compliance records are retained for 5 years as required by telecommunications regulations.
- Aggregate data: De-identified, aggregate data may be retained indefinitely for analytics and product improvement.
